2016 wheels on 2011

So, I scored a set of 2016 SS wheels, 20x9's and 20x9.5's
My 2011 SS currently has pretty much new 245-45's and 275-45's that were on it when I got the car.
I'm thinking these might be a bit narrow for the 2016 wheels.
What do you all think?
I can buy new tires, that's not a problem but I will run these if I can.

That's totally fine, and the wheels shouldn't expose the rim lip or anything. I probably wouldn't go under a 245 wide tire, if possible, especially if you're running any wheel that's wider than 8" inches. The 275 wide tires should be a 40 sidewall, if you want to stick to the OEM spec for tire width, for the original rear 20x9, +45 wheels. If possible, get some 255 or 265 wide tires in front, and go to like a 285 in the rear, if you want to stay staggered.

Usually for every 10 or 20 width that you increase on the width, I would decrease the tire sidewall by 5. For every 10-20 width that you decrease on the width, I would increase the sidewall by 5. This will help keep the factory geometry for the tires and wheels, as well as keeping the factory speedometer calibration happy. If not, you can always re-calibrate the speedometer with a tuner, but it can be a hassle.

I did get the 6th Gen wheels on the car.
Went with new stock tires sizes for the 6th gen.
Bridgestone 245-40 and 275-35
They sit nearer to the outside of the fenders. Looks better IMHO.
