2016 wheels on 2011
So, I scored a set of 2016 SS wheels, 20x9's and 20x9.5's
My 2011 SS currently has pretty much new 245-45's and 275-45's that were on it when I got the car. I'm thinking these might be a bit narrow for the 2016 wheels. What do you all think? I can buy new tires, that's not a problem but I will run these if I can. |

Usually for every 10 or 20 width that you increase on the width, I would decrease the tire sidewall by 5. For every 10-20 width that you decrease on the width, I would increase the sidewall by 5. This will help keep the factory geometry for the tires and wheels, as well as keeping the factory speedometer calibration happy. If not, you can always re-calibrate the speedometer with a tuner, but it can be a hassle. |
