Be Careful Using GMPartsGiant

I was trying to get a warranty replacement on a power steering pump I purchased from them online. In order to warranty the part, they require a diagnostic report from the dealer at my cost. Well, since the part is not in the car any longer, and paying for a diagnostic report to get a replacement is ridiculous, I just won't be using them anymore. I have gotten parts from them in the past and they appeared to be OEM, but this incident tells me their warranty is worthless. I just wanted to give this group a heads up when dealing with them.

Nice to know. Sorry about your experience. Requiring a diag report is crazy.

I have never bought from them for 2 reasons.

I'm sketched out by there being 100 websites that are basically the same.
I've heard to many times that they let you order parts when they are out of stock, and you don't know till later.

The various "GM Parts..." sites seem to have varying performance. I try to stick with Rockauto.com, local, or aftermarket.

The problem with all of the GM Parts sites is each one is owned by a different GM dealership and run through their service department so it's very hit or miss.

I don't like dealing with any of them unless it's something you can't get anywhere else and even then, I found that going to my local dealer I can usually get the part for around the same price and not worry about shipping cost.
