Removing supercharger
First time posting here, I did try to search but couldnt find anything. Has anyone who installed an aftermarket supercharger then taken it back off? Im in Spain and its quite strict here regarding modifications and emissions. Long story short i've had a TVS2300 SLP charger installed for a few years and love it but its getting harder to pass the vehicle inspections test and this time round its failed. So im thinking of removing it and going back to NA.
I have PFADT tri-y long tube headers, CAI and a Borla ATAK exhaust so car is plenty loud enough and fun to drive. Just wanted to know if theres any major issues with removing the charger, I had a garage install it so not sure on what exact work was done and if anything irreversible. I did see a thread on the damage caused to highflow cats from superchargers, personally I think thats whats happened to mine but I can't remove them and as its only been a few years I dont fancy buying new cats over and over again each time they break. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance |

It really depends on if you have any of the original stock parts available and what supporting mods were done with it. For example, were the injectors also replaced. You'll also need a fresh tune to the new setup.

I think I have all the original parts, its the complete SLP kit pretty sure it was injectors etc changes and I should have all the parts that came off. The mechanic that installed it gave me the boxes back with what im assuming is all the stock parts. It also came with a Diablo tuner that we had to send data to SLP for them to send back a tune which was then uploaded. But i was thinking of getting a tune from one of the guys in here to get the best out of the NA setup whilst still keeping legal-ish.
What I was worried about was during the install are any major parts altered for the supercharger? like parts being cut down to size etc that would now not be useable for NA Hope that makes sense |

I'm not positive about SLP but I don't recall any permanent mods required for my Whipple. Most kits are true bolt-ons. Anything worth modifying is usually replaced.
You might want to see if you can get your hands on the original installation instructions to be sure. Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk
