Standard maintainance interval requirements?

I have a 2LT RS that just hit 3,000 miles. I got the oil changed at 1,500 but now I am wondering what the standard service requirement is.
The crazy thing is that the manual doesn't specify!
Any ideas?

When the change oil soon light comes on - you do everything in the maintenance 1 schedule. If you forget to reset the oil life monitor at the last change, change it at 3,000 miles.

I like to treat my cars a bit better than the computer thinks, so I did like you and did the first change early. Then all my future changes come in around 3 - 5,000 miles. My other vehicles that are just commuters and work vehicles I'll go by the light. But my specialty/fun cars get treated better. And it pays off.

I've worked on high mileage cars and can definately tell the difference inside. Someone that uses synthetic and changes every 3K, at 100,000 miles the inside of that engine is remarkably clean. Someone that uses regular oil and changes it at very long intervals, not so clean, some gunk and carbon here and there. Still runs fine, but for something special I do better than the taxi cab oil change philosophy. Al Gore would not be pleased with me, but I'm not a fan of him either.

This Camaro is a daily driver, but my commute is about 16 miles round trip
and I don't drive much on the weekends, SO, I'll probably put about 3K miles
on the car in a year. I'll be using Pennzoil Platinum Synth or Mobile 1 Synth.
THE QUESTION IS:
1. Do I change oil every 5K (about a year and a half),
2. Change every Year
3. Change every 6 months

TIA!
