Also, the service manager there was very difficult to work with. I purchased my '02 in '03 with 4K miles on it. After having it a week, I brought it in for a couple small things and I got flack for a crack in the spoiler and he refused to warranty it. There was no physical damage on the spoiler, just a crack on the top, right in the middle. Needless to say, I didn't go back, especially after they ran my car, with a brand new $100 front end bra, onto a lift fork, cutting a hole in it and scratching my front facia and then opened my door into one of the posts, scratching my mirror. To say it was a fight to get that stuff fixed was a real challenge. I'll just close in saying that any of this could've happened at any other dealer, but just the way that I was treated, and the situation handled (I always felt like they didn't really care about my issues) really discourages me from doing business there. Honestly, if I even get a couple hundred less, from 'Scotty, I'd rather go to WI to pick my car up, than drive ten miles to Folsom. Okay, sorry I ranted. At least someone is close, and that's only ONE experience. It's probably not reflective of how they typically do business (I hope.)

I just don't see any dealer turning anyone away that has pre approval for MSRP. They won't let that check walk out the door if they want to close a sell. You just have to know how to speak the lingo. I tell them to shut up and to listen and here is my check. And I don't want extended warranty and 800 dollar undercoat treatments.
This is when the buyer is running the show. The sharks are hungry... they will eat. |
