Mickey Harris Airbrushed 2010 Military Tribute Camaro SS One Of One

This one-of-a-kind 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS, nicknamed the “Strength & Honor Camaro” was commissioned by General Motors in 2010 to honor the men and women of America’s Armed Forces. The project was part of GM’s Military Discount Program and featured the work of renowned airbrush artist Mickey Harris. Harris, who grew up on military bases and has over 30 years of experience, spent around 250 hours hand-painting the Camaro’s intricate patriotic murals. The car’s exterior is a rolling canvas paying tribute to all five branches of the U.S. military, with different sections dedicated to each branch and adorned with depictions of military medals and honors. For example:

U.S. Army: featured on the front driver’s side, alongside medals like the Distinguished Service Cross and Afghanistan Campaign Medal.
U.S. Navy: featured on the rear driver’s side (includes imagery of the Navy Cross and Iraq Campaign Medal).
U.S. Marine Corps: featured on the front passenger side.
U.S. Air Force: featured on the rear passenger side.
U.S. Coast Guard: featured on the trunk section of the car.
The mural also incorporates other high honors like the Silver Star and Bronze Star, seamlessly blended into the Camaro’s custom paint scheme. Harris’s design was meant to “honor those who serve and have served”, an ethos reflected in the car’s “Strength & Honor” theme and even emblazoned on the vehicle (the Chevrolet bowtie emblem on the rear is accompanied by the “Strength and Honor” name). The result is an extremely detailed, flag-inspired tribute livery described by enthusiasts as “some of the most incredibly detailed airbrush work you’ll ever see”, making this Camaro a true rolling work of art in honor of U.S. military heroes.
