Problems with differential

Hi, Iīm from Austria/Europe and have a 2014 ZL1. For month I have big problems with the differential. It has been rebuilt 3b times, the last time with a Elite Master Kit, and still there is a lot off noise and loud clacking. Now the technician thinks, the BRM polyurthan bushings are the causing the problems? I canīt find any stock bushings anymore.
The clacking comes when you release gas pedal and the rest of the time itīs a singing noise. Any idea what we could do?

Have you checked the outer hub bearings? Problems there can sound like diff noises especially with aftermarket bushings.

Also a couple of possibilities in the way of incorrect pinion depth. Maybe have him show you how he's marked the gears and assuring correct mesh. Plus that coast whine/noise you talk about can be indicative of certain gear sets? What did you put in? As example, I went to 3.91's. I started with Motive. My guy went through 3 gear sets and never could make it quiet. And he was very confident in his work. His shop is very well known specialty in Camaro and Corvette trans, clutch and drivetrain in general. I had him try again with a GM set and it's quiet as it should be now.

I believe it’s a Timken rear bearing kit.

Unless things have changed, only gears available for the ZL1 are factory units from AAM in 3.23 and 3.73 ratios.

I have BMR poly bushings and no noises, now if you go with the Delrin units, they will tell you everything you never wanted hear in your diff.

axles or hubs are a possibility, but could be rear is set up wrong. A lot of mechanics struggle with IRS diffs.
