what's your favorite lift or jack ?

pretty new to the Camaro, would like to know what is best to get for oil changes, transmission swap, motor lift, and pictures of your setups would be cool

I use a set of QuickJacks. They have been great for all of my vehicles. Used them to pull the rear cradle for suspension mods and other stuff. I leave them under the wife's Jeep for storage since my Camaro and Cadi are too low to drive over them. Only thing I'd rather have is a full four post lift, but that just hasn't made it up the spending priorities yet.

Quick jacks are nice. Friend let me borrow them for my twin turbo install. Did it in my garage with those.

Quick Jacks are great once you get past the fact that there is no side access. Have to go in and back out at the front or rear of the car.

100% would buy again. Much quicker that jack stands and having 2 different works heights is very nice.

Depends on what you have to work with. I just put in a used 7k two post and it works pretty well. I had to switch to a wall mount garage door opener, but it lifts high enough for me to stand under it and work. The one disappointment is my car is about a quarter inch too low in front to be to swing the front arm into position without putting floor jack under it to swing the arm into place. I lift with each arm under jack pads listed below. Also need 220v for it. I put a 20ft extension cord on it and added an outlet off the compressor outlet.

Some things that will make your life easier are jack pads like these off Amazon. I'm not sure if ZL1 Options still sells them, but these work about the same. I have these on the vert and ZL1 Options on the turbo car.

A good long reach, low profile jack is worth the expense. A smaller 1.5 ton race jack also comes in handy. I used the small jack to lift the side a few inches so I can get the long reach in place. I've been using jackstands to do lots of mods since I bought the car in 2009.

I like the quick jacks, I think if I had to do it over again I would order the longer ones and skip having to use the extensions, which add height, weight and extra stuff to mess with.

Camaro Cracka how tall are ceilings in photo?

Invaluable for serious under side work - and most importantly - safe if you need the car up higher than standard jack stands.

Race Ramps. The extended ones, for easy front end clearance .

extended quick jack it is. I have a set of race ramps for maintenance but want to be ready when working on it. Thanks to everyone, this will be easy now. does the quick jack have a safety locking pin, I haven't looked at that area.

QuickJack makes one large enough to use without the extension kit. It's the one I have but not sure of the model. I can find out if you need.

There is a latch that it rests on, no safety pin. I always put a jackstand under the back so that if the latch broke, it would fall on the jackstand.
