Ambient Temp Sensor Location?
Removed front bumper fascia over weekend, to replace headlight assemblies. Found this little device hanging loose, not snapped in place anywhere. I think it is ambient temperature sensor? Does anyone know where this is supposed to snap into place?

If memory serves it's mounted to the middle support bar below the hood latch. Been a while since my conversion and things are murky in this old gourd lol. Good luck

You can see the connector in the bottom left. You will have to remove the front fascia to get to it though. |

Standing in front of the car with bumper cover removed, it's mounted in the vertical radiator support on passenger side.

I see the sensor in pic, thank you! More concerning, it looks like they did not give me back all these plastic panels (deflectors?) in the rebuild. Anyone know if these are available still, OEM or aftermarket?

Once I figured out what these parts were actually called, I was able to find OEM units at GM Parts online. Images below, in case someone else needs this one day.

I don't know what purpose they actually serve but I know the air damn on the bottom you can do without. All it does is better direct the air flow to the radiator.

I decided to get all the missing plastic pieces, just makes me feel better to have her back to intended factory setup. I was able to properly mount the little air temp sensor also, so that is nice! I was noticing that the lower air grille is quite large, wondering how much radiator airflow relies on that lower opening? Also, the lower deflector sits on top of some fairly stout steel supports... is it possible there is a bit of downforce benefit to that deflector, in addition to channeling air to radiator? This is probably how rumors get started... sorry all!
