20x9 & 20x10 ZL1 Replica Wheels

I just ordered the ZL1 Replica Wheels and the front wheels recommended size is 255/35 and the rear recommended size is 305/30 the 305/30 I think is too wide for a 20x10 would it be safe to use a 285/30 or a 295/30 in the rear?

I have the same size rims and am currently running factory sizes due to lack of funds to buy new tires. While 255 and 285/295 will fit, they must be stretched. This reduces grip (by more than you would think) and increase thread wear shortening tire life. Just based on what I'm experiencing right now, I totally do not recommend going anything smaller than 275 on a 9" and 305 on a 10".

On your 10 inch rears you will be good with the 305's, I wouldn't go any wider, or narrower, a 305/35 would be pretty much ideal on those, the fronts, a 275 40 would be ideal. On the stock rear wheels the tires were 275/40's on the 9 inch wheels. So you wouldn't want to go any wider, or narrower than the 275's on the front. You really don't want to run 30 series sidewalls as the ride will be very bumpy and harsh with not enough sidewall. Gotta have some cushion there for comfort.
