Did They(NHRA) Really Need to Bring Back The Dead Dolphin?

Yup the dead dolphin is back on Pro Stock hoods for 2027.

Hoping to level the playing field(and prevent KBR from dominating) dual 4BBL TB's on top of an intake manifold will replace the lower nose intake and single front mounted TB found on most modern fuel injected cars.

I personally hate this idea and find it to be a foolish waste of money.

Man that's so frickin stupid!! I really like the "cleaned up look" of the hoods they already have, shows the cars lines a lot better. Those hoods with the hideous scoop on it looks like garbage! Why can't they just leave well enough alone!! Oh, and now they won't be able to see very well either!! SMH.

Supposedly the "smaller teams" couldn't tune their cars as good as the big teams

My guess is Elite whined loud and hard because KB was and is a better team.

Oh well. Gonna be interesting to look at them now when they change the look! They need to step it up! Or find a good tuner who can do the job!

The stupidity in it is that the bigger teams can afford to dump more parts and people to figure things out.

This doesn't make things better in any measurable way and the cars get uglier
