Can others drive it?

im wondering...sorry if this has been posted somewhere else, could not find anything when i searched. once your car is delivered can dealers show it to other people wanting to but the car? worse... can they sell yours? (i only put a deposit down)?? Also...why does it take so long from delivery to you actually picking it up?? Thanks everyone!

I would think that if that dealership had any sense of customer service they wouldn't let anybody touch a car that was special ordered. But that is just me, my dealer will receive a stern warning not to let anybody breath on the car.

There would be HELL to pay. Then I'd make them give me half off for it being a demo car.

I didn't wait long at all. My dealer called me at 11:00AM and said the carrier just pulled into the dealership and my car is on it. I picked it up 5 hours later at 4:00PM the same day. They can prep and flip a car in a couple of hours if necessary.

If you are like me, you will know exactly when the car will arrive at the dealership, try to be there, that's something most don't get to see is their car on the truck

They got to put their dealer sticker on there. Only to be removed by myself a few hours later.

Had my first Camaro sold out from under me as it came in on a weekend I was not advised it came in. It was sold immediatley after coming in off of the truck. The wife was very upset as this was her car, the dealer ordered us another and gave her a big discount. Worked out good though as the first car was IOM and we got a RJT instead, very happy with this color.

Mine rolled in on the carrier on wednesday afternoon and I got it on Thursday. My dealership is trustworthy. Do not forget to tell them if you do not want their stickers and your front plate bracket installed. Otherwise they drill your front facia.

yes I definately do not want them doing that! do you think they will get offended if I tell them not to put stickers or a front plate on it. I also heard that some dealers wont let you leave without a front plate

Wash it, vaccuum it, take all plastic and stickers off the interior, test drive it, fill it up, make sure all switches work (directionals, headlights, radio, heat, ac, etc). Attach front license plate bracket (which includes drilling holes in the front facia) unless you tell them no. Put dealer placard on trunk lid, unless you say no.

Do a search of dealer prep or dealer prep lists......there's some good threads and lists available here, with what to tell your dealer about prepping the car.
