I bet the Police Officer thought he was dreaming!

Monday afternoon on my way home I pulled up to a stop light. On my right was a black IROC and to my left was a new black Mustang GT. Accross the street from us (going the opposite direction) was a local police officer. I could see him grinning....The light changed and we three drove off like we were little old school-teachers from Pasadena! LOL!

I grinned and laughed all the way home!

hahahaha! Yeah that's a good story. My buddy has a Corvette and was at a light and there was a Mustang GT. The Mustang was egging him on, so my buddy revved his engine, he saw a cop way down the road gunning people. The light turned my buddy goosed it but then drove normally, however the Mustang shot off like a bat out of hell and buzzed by the cop and got pulled over.

I was in my 2002 SS a couple of years ago WITH my wife. We were at a red light. Out of the corner of my eye I saw the front fender of a black Dodge Charger. When the light changed, I dropped the hammer. I pulled him by a few car lengths and looked into my rear view mirror and at the same time as my wife spoke up, I saw the roof rack of lights. It was a cop car. He started tailgating me but did not pull me over. I was thinking "oh great, I will never hear the end of this from the wife and what in the hell do I tell the cop". He pulled up next to me at the next red light and glared at me. I felt like a complete fool. When the light changed, he pulled away and did not stop me. I could not believe it. I was very thankful because I still can't think of a good answer to him if he asked me what the hell I was doing.

I was in a small town out cruising and looking for some action (racing) in my '67 Mustang when I hit a light. A ford Taurus (I shit you not) pulls up, dude rolls down his window and says "I GOT COBRA POWER". I look around and see there's an officer coming at the light from the cross street so I rev up, and the Taurus does the same. As soon as the light hits green he lights them up and tears off down the street the cop hitting the lights and going after him.

We met up at the local Stars and laughed about it... he really did have an '03 Cobra engine in that Taurus.

A few months ago I was sitting at a stop light minding my own business when I heard a rumble and looked over at newer Mustang. He was reving and lurching forward...I shoke my head NO and then the light changed..MAN he took off like a shot..and plowed right into a cop in a UN-marked black charger.

This DID happen to me, and I got pulled over... I had ran my malibu at our local track that afternoon, had wiped out drag radials on it, my exhaust was missing 1 bolt per side on the collectors, so it was BREATHING a hair better than normal, cool night and my run sticker on the windshield along with my helmet in the back seat. Mustang GT 5.SLOW egging me on through 4 stop lights, on the 5th, I pulled him.... he got the jump, I launched, but didn't heat the dr's so I was facing the oncoming traffic sliding sideways, banged second, slid past the GT sideways while facing him, and pulled him when I hit 3rd. Backed down and saw the lights already on way back there behind me.. I pulled over, GT. slow slithered away. A second officer came on nose to nose with me, and a third boxed me in by driving up on the sidewalk next to me. The officer was VERY polite and friendly, asking me for my information which I gave him, then he asked me to explain what happened to him. All I could say was "well, the AXXHXLE in the Gt thought he was fast for 4 lights, so on the 5th I figured i'd be a bigger AXXHXLE and show him what fast really was. He laughed, said that sounded about right and went to run my info. Cop on the sidewalk asked me to start the car, (355 small block, 11.5 to 1 comp on race gas, 525 lift solid cam), she rattled his legs when I fired her up, yelled at me to shut it down and got in his car and left. The officer in front made mention of the bald dr's, helmet, and race card on the glass, said I should have kept it on the track, to which I replied, I don't street race anymore and have been keeping to the track, but this guy just pushed it.. he laughed, and left.. Officer with my info read me a laundry list of tix I COULD be getting, and let me off with a seatbelt ticket. I could have kissed him!

no offense, but just because you ride a fast bike, doesn't mean you KNOW how to RIDE that fast bike.. I've raced numerous bikes only losing to 1, and that was well after the quarter mile ended. and that was just with a mid 12 car on street tires, high 11 on dr's..
