Hurst shifter questions

One of the first things I want to do to my Camaro when I get it is to put a shifter in it. I think I'm sold on the looks of the Hurst. MGW would probably be #2.

Anyone have any dis-likes with their Hurst? I thought I read somewhere that they were a little noisier that the stock shifter. I also saw where MGW provides some dynamat type material to put down. If I go with Hurst should I buy some Dynamat and put that down?

Where is the best place to buy the Hurst? I thought I saw a thread where someone found it for about $320.

Installed mine over 1.5 hours....It is noisier than stock, but not unbearable at all. In fact, the noise is of no particular issue and I really didn't understand why others install dynomat. What minimal noise comes from mine is just part of my Camaros character.

Try Ebay...$329 plus free shipping.

I love mine... The little extra noise does not bother me at all.
Get a lot of compliments on looks

Hurst noise comes from the mechanics, not from having a gaping hole somewhere.

I got mine from lmperformance.com. Shipping was fast and that is the best price I could find.

I actually liked the stock shifter just fine but wanted the Hurst just because I've never had one before. Having said that, the Hurst is sooooo much better than the stock shifter I can't imagine the car without it.

Under normal driving I detect no noise whatsoever. Under WOT it sometimes rattles... but under that circumstance who cares?

You can't go wrong with the Hurst. I love the the feeling. It's like the slide on a bolt action rifle when you put it in gear. It makes it feel like a machine!!

I've had mine for about 2 weeks. Looks great and feels great. A little noise under hard acceleration but not annoying.

Installed my Hurst shifter a few weeks ago and love it. A slight rattle under WOT but doesn't bother me. I got mine from LMPerformance.com. Best price I found and free shipping.

the hurst shifter includes the added dynamat and isolator in the package now if you want to quiet it down even further.

Did mine last night. No issues at all, no noise, much easier shifts.
