It's real hard to judge how close you are when parking on a curb. I feel that the Camaro needs sensors on both sides to tell you how close you are to hitting something along with the rear. Curbs are the Camaros worst enemy with those low profile rims. I feel bad that I scratched my front passenger's side rim on a curb. I can have it repaired for $150 bucks, but I'm afraid it will happen again!!! Darn the luck!!

I know exactly what you mean. I was in an unfamiliar area and knicked a curb with my front bumper. Been pretty lucky so far with the rims though. The bumper is getting repaired.

Down fall to cockpit seating. I have to sit up in the seat to park. I plan on getting slightly wider tires on my new rims to help protect them. (If I ever settle on a set!)

When you need to park as close to the curb as possible, I find it helps to adjust the side mirror down so you can see the curb.

On my Cadillac the side mirror automatically lowers when you put the car in reverse. As you said it really helps when parking. That would be a nice feature for the Camaro, but it is a Chevy.

My 2003 Avalanche has a parking mirror assist setting that can be turned on/off. Does the Camaro not have this option? That's a sinful omission, maybe coming in the 2011?

LOL!! DUDE, thats exactly what I do every time I'm parking in tight places! It works! Just aim the side mirror down, and u see the curb, problem solved!

The little spot mirrors I have on my sideview mirrors are also great for times like this when you are backing up. I wish I had a better way to judge the front tire as I scuffed mine last week too.

I just need to find a place that can fix it before this scratch turns into a new set of wheels and a much lighter wallet.
