vanity? could i be that vain....?
Something funny came up in a conversation with a friend tonight...i told her i ordered a Camaro, and she said "awesome!!!" of course....!!! then after i showed her pics and described the car she asked "are you going to get a vanity plate? that would be amazing"
i never thought of that before....and then i started seeing the threads in the forum...and i pondered the idea......... The more i reflected on the thought of it, it didnt seem right for me. I know i will love my car (even if only a tenth of the average owner from c5, i'm sure i'll be blown away) The thing is as far as '10 Camaros go it's a routine car - 1LT RS SIM (BUT it is the car i wanted...!). If i did want a personalized plate, i would want something fairly tuff, and menacing...But i don't think i could back it up....maybe if it was the SS, maybe if it had racing stripes, maybe if it was modded to the nines....but i just can't see it. This thread should NOT turn into a v6 vs. v8 argument!!! PLEASE dont do that.....it's a nonsensical, irrelevant argument. Is my thinking off on this? PS. I know that if i did have an SS, or supercharged etc...i could get away with it, so please no "upgrade your car.." comments... |

you only need a V8 if your plate had something to ddo with being fast, other then that you could pull off ALOT of vanity plates with V6 camaro

As for the SS, issue... well, mine is (on it's way but not here yet): --20TEN SS-- (pictures comming soon) But I say, "to each... his own". If you wanna spend the cash and personalize it, PERSONALIZE IT! (it's yours )

So what exactly are you asking? The title says "could I be that vain". I don't know, could you?

I agree, Anyone at anytime can do what ever they want to thier car and put what ever plate they want. i have a v-6 and i love it. my plate says NT2FAST. It fits me and the car. but my v-6 is a camaro.

I don't see why having a V-6 precludes a personalized plate. If you had a Prius and put SNKE ETR on it, that's ridiculous, but c'mon, its a Camaro
on the other hand that plate on the Prius might be funny

ok, what diff does it make what motor is under the hood??? Its the driver that wins the race (not saying your racing) not the car. The power that the V6 has has gone past many other V8 set ups. If you look the part- you are the part. I seen an older man (had to be in late 70's) in a new SS, that doesn't mean he is slow or fast- he looks the part. Get what you want on the tag, most people can't tell the diff between the models anyway. you still have the best car on the road!
