I was rather taken by the concept when it was revealed, but I didn't start thinking about getting one until my wife fell in love when she saw Transformers. At first we figured we'd get a yellow V-6 'vert with black racing stripes, but when I found out the vert' wouldn't come till a couple years later, we(ok, I) decided we needed to get the top of the line, whatever that may be.

As soon as I saw a picture of the concept. Otherwise, I would have kept my 2002 SS that I factoty orderd in 2002. It iss the one next to my 2010 in my avatar.

The movie did catch my interest, but my down fall was when I sat in one the first time. I could fit, which is pretty rare when you are 6'9". Then I had to drive it. As soon as I drove the 2ss I knew I was hooked. And now I have one on order. Can't wait to see it in person!

About two years ago or so, when I got wind that the Camaro was coming back to life.

My decision took about a month, and was almost an impulse buy.

I had been looking at cars in the 25-30k range, really wanting an AWD car initially. So, my focus had been on things like used Audi S4s and perhaps even the Dodge Charger AWD.

However, I just wasn't impressed...and decided to up the price range to under 40k. I wasn't going to touch the Mustang as I hate Ford...and was looking at new cars at that point. Cars like the Subaru Legacy, even used Porche's Cayenne's

I have been a Dodge/Chevy person though for most of my life, and somehow switched my focus from AWD to muscle cars. The choice was between the Challenger and the Camaro. The Camaro just looks sexier, though I do love the look of the Challenger as well. I'd always wanted a '70 Cuda, my first car having been a 73 Dodge Charger SE. I still want one, but not the new Challenger. Someday I'll find a 70 Cuda that needs some loving care and maybe make that a project car.

When the concept came out.

I didn't realistically think I'd get one for a while though.

Then on May 16th of last year I test drove one. 16 days later one was in my driveway.

Transformers 1 definitely sealed the deal when I saw it in blu-ray and played it in slow motion.... But then again, I noticed a lot of cars look awesome in HD... I wanted batman's lambo after seeing the last batman on blu-ray as well But I didn't want a 2010, I wanted a 2011 because I needed to get all my financial stuff planned out first...
