LT Headers with no tune

has anyone done LT headers with no tune. would like to know it they make the check engine light come on, ie o2 problems. dont want to run a tune because it voids your warranty

From what I have heard SLP LT's with Cats won't throw codes without a tune, and if this is true the downfall to them are that they only add about 21HP and or only available in 1 3/4's. And for the price you can get any LT's with Cat's that will produce a lot more power.

I would have to see that for myself, and I am pretty sure it is just a rumor.

When Ever you move the cats further from the engine they take longer to get up to operating temps, it is that time period that sets the codes.

Ted.

I absolutely agree the only way I see a long tube not set those codes is if the cats were not high flow. The TSP header system use a metal core high flow so they will set a cat code very quickly.

The good news is for a couple hundred bucks we offer mail order tuning for you specific mods. With that mail order tuning you get free retunes for the first year!!

I've got the SLP LT's Cats LM II muflers on my L99. They threw a code. I data logged with a Diablo Sport and made an adjustment to LTFT as they suggest and no more codes!

The SLP ZL575 (supercharged) that the dealers sell have SLP LT Headers and are CARB legal in all states.. With these and a tune would I be able to pass in Illinois .. all they do here is connect thier reader up to check the system errors,,???
