Normal coolant temp?
I've tried searching a bit and it looks like according to this post
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...nt+temperature everything is normal, but I'm still concerned. I have noticed recently while monitoring the Coolant temp via the DIC that my coolant seems to avg around 205 degrees while driving around in traffic. I've noticed it go as high as 228 degrees. Is this normal? I'm used to a car that opens the thermostat at around 192-195 and then the coolant temp remains around that temp. Thanks in advance, Chad

Usually stays around 185 degrees and keeps steady around that temp. Compare maybe?

my 1LT stays at 93C / 199F during normal cruise, highest 109C / 228F.

When its up to 260 I'd worry.
