Camaro lovin' cop

My first experience with the law was a positive one. About a week ago on the highway I noticed a police cruiser travelling in the opposite direction as I was and thankfully I was only travelling about 10 Km over the posted limit. I glance in my rearview and see the cruiser spin around in the road and come up behind me. I'm thinking, "No way he's going to ticket me for doing 90Km/h in an 80Km/h zone." He follows me for a few minutes and then flashes the lights. I pull over and watch him approach, noticing that he is not carrying his ticket book? I roll my window down and he says,"I see that you have no front license plate." I explain to him that I am awaiting the bracket and have a note from my dealer to show him. He proceeds to tell me that alot of people with beautiful cars like mine don't like to sully the front of their cars with front plates and would rather take the fine. He compliments my car for a few more minutes and then I ask him if he would like to take a look at the interior(thinking he has spent enough time on the side of the road with me and will say "no it's ok go ahead on your way"). He promptly says "Sure!" and I exit the car so he can have a good look at the interior...I could tell he really wanted to sit in it but was probably thinking what would the passing motorists think if they saw an OPP officer sitting in my car and pretending to drive while I'm patiently waiting on the side of the road. After a few more compliments I get back in the drivers seat and leave, he follows me for another 10-15Km and finally goes on his way. I hope all of my future police encounters are this friendly because I know somebday I won't be able to control my beast and I will at least get a speeding ticket.

I have an epic tales concerning an admiring police officer and a Camaro. Unfortunately, it also involves both parties engaging in irresponsible driving and street racing so I'll resist the urge to expose your innocent minds to such activities.

I just had something similar on the way to work this week...a cop pulled out of the station, and started hiding in my blind spot. I was only doing about 40 in a 35, so I wasn't sure what was going on, until he pulled up beside me at the next light.

He indicated that I should roll down my window, then proceeded to ask me about my specs...satisfied, he then gunned it at the green.

Wierd....

I got pulled over last night, I saw the cop and was going like 5 MPH under the speed limit, I was trying to give it a bit more gas as I usually drive 5 MPH over the limit and I didnt realize I was still in 3rd gear. Next thing I know I am going 15 MPH over the limit and getting pulled over. I felt like a complete donkey. He comes up and says for a second there I thought I knew you, you saw me and sped up anyway. I couldnt help but to laugh, and I said no I just got this car and was trying to speed back up to 50, 5 MPH over the limit. He said it sure is a nice car and that tells me to be more careful and have a good day. Clearly the coolness that is a Camaro saved my butt from getting my first speeding ticket in 8 years.

I was in B.C. last year with my Camaro, driving down the street of a small town, when the RCMP pulled me over. I couldn't figure out what the heck I had done as I was not over the speed limit at all. The two officers walked up to the car...one on either side and asked to see my insurance and driver's license.

I asked what I had done wrong and they said nothing. They just wanted to look at my car and started complimenting me on it. When I asked why they wanted my papers, they said they wanted it to be a routine stop. (Like they could get in trouble if it wasn't?) I started laughing and he asked me how many points I had against me. I told him none and he said, "In a car like this????" I told him it was going to stay that way too. LOL

Back home a few months ago, I got pulled over by another officer. City police. He asked me if I was wearing my seat belt. I look down, look at him and said yes. Can't you see it?

Then he starts complimenting me on my car as well. Now here we are, I'm in the middle of the road and traffic is backing up behind me. He just doesn't care. LOL LOL

Ending remark...GM hit a home run with this one, didn't they?

They certainly did!

I have had 3 cops in the last 2 weeks, just stare and check out my car. Each time I have been 5-10 over on the highway. Its getting crazy.

I think I'd be pissed if I got pulled over for doing nothing. I wouldn't say so of course but damn, don't they have some little ricer to pull over somewhere haha.
