How to remove gold center from rear bowtie
I ordered the GM black bowtie inserts for front and rear, got the front bowtie off, no issue , and removed the gold insert. Is there a way to remove the gold insert from the rear bowtie with out totally removing the whole bowtie?

Thanks, Kilo...I was kinda thinking this method, but wanted to see what other options were out there. I appreciate the link!

I got mine from defenderworx (same as GMs). Took some pics of the install. The bigger the bit on the drill the better. After drilling the hole (not too far) just get a flathead screwdriver to pry it out through the hole. I don't think there is any way to avoid breaking the gold piece when removing it. Heating it up with a blow dryer helps. Make sure you get most of the remaining sticky stuff off.

Yeah, that part is easy. The hard part is getting the front bowtie off!
