Ignition sound, PLEASE READ - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Guys i've been hearing a wierd sound from my camaro 2SS from along time, the dealer can't find a solution he actually doesn't know what it is :

It started around a month from i first got my car when i turn it on you hear some type of rocker sound

"krrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrk" then it goes away, it doesnt happen everytime, most of the time it doesnt happen at all.

The first time they told me the oil might be too lite and they changed if for me, they were corect initially for around 2000 miles i heard nothing, then guess what it came back again, like once in every 2-3days.

The last time i visited the dealer for servicing he put a heavier oil compound to try and stop it once for all.

THIS time the next day the soud came back again not only that
but on idling it goes tik tik tik tik tik tik tik tik tik tik, i switch the car off and right back on there is no sound at all!!!!

the same sound came two weeks later, which is today and the dealer simply said i don't know

what should i dooo, the upload wont accept .m4a files from my iphone
if u want to listen to both sounds i could email them to you

My concern would be that if GM calls out for the car to use 5W-30 oil...what in the heck are they putting in there?? 10W-40? These motors have very tight tolerances and need the thinner oil that 5W-30 provides.

Other than that I have no clue.
