DIY: Painting my V6 Engine Cover (Grey / Orange Metallic)
First you'll need to remove the oil cap rubber ring, clean the engine cover with alcohol (or soap & water), mask it off, spray a coat of adhesive promoter, let dry, spray 3 layers of paint, let dry and then finish off with 2 layers of clear coat.

Very nice. I was at autozone today to get the orange but they didn't have any in stock. Still looking. I have time my Camaro is TPW for 3/29/2010. Just getting my parts in order for when it arrives to complete my list of changes. Couple questions though, is the orange that you bought a close match, and are you satisfied with the outcome of the color. There are many oragne colors on the market just looking for forum input on color match. Thanks |

If you don't mind waiting a few days for shipping this paint is perfect, they have the clear coat as well!
