Get the 2010 or wait for the 2011 models?

Hi everyone i'm a newbee to the camaro5 forum and planning on getting the 5th generation camaro SS. I need your input; should I go ahead and try to get the 2010 Camaro 2SS model or wait a couple of months for the 2011 to come out? Reason is; here in Hawaii there are a very limited amount Camaro SS that have come to our islands and there also a waiting list on almost every Chevrolet dealer here. I'm kind of frustrated

wait it out, see if you can place an early order on a 2011 at the same time. just a month left till 2010 production stops and im assuming thats when the 2011's will start production. and if you really cant how much would it cost you to have it shipped over to hawaii from america

I had to make the same decision==2011 model won't be available until around September

hmmm the 2011 MY production starts June 7th and the 2010 MY production ends the week before. Just because preorders for the '11 MY starts April 15th doesn't mean that's when production starts.

Where did you hear this? The announcement said that 2011 production would start early june, meaning cars would start hitting the lots in July.

New MY's also come with long QC's at the start with the 2 week summer break, there is no way they will have the cars delivered to the dealers in 3 weeks. Maybe for those who live in Canada but the shortest time for US orders is 6-8 weeks and can be as high as 10-12 depending on QC. The earliest you will see a '11 Camaro is mid August.
