Question Anyone familiar with CHERRY BOMB mufflers?

Heard the "Extreme" Cherry Bomb muffler on my old LT1 Z28 the other day and I gotta say...

Wondering if anyone has heard this on a 5th gen, or if they even make it for gen 5?...

Have 4 x 8 inch Cherry Bombs on the rear of my L99/A6. I think they would be too quiet with the factory center resonator. But, mine is gone - replaced by 2 Dynomax 14 inch bullets with a H pipe.

Too quiet you say?? Comes as a surprise, the guy that bought my LT1 replaced my old axle-back with Cherry Bomb "Extreme" (I think) and it was LOUD!

Good to know though, since we're most likely getting the L99...

Does it have pretty good volume now, with the H pipe? How was the tone with the factory res? Any weirdness with the AFM?

I used to run them on my '68 Camaro... back in the early 70's.
That was right before I switched to the "Hush Thrush" so I could coast into the driveway without waking my dad up late at night.

I thought the big thing with cherry bombs is they started out tame, but the packing material in the muffler would disintegrate or melt away over time and get loud as hell after awhile. I think they were a straight through design, just a perforated pipe inside a bigger pipe, both straight through.

Had the Hush Thrush right on the Hooker Headers on my '68 Camaro in the late 70s. Thought that they were on the loud side. Got pulled over and warned before I put the pipes on it.
Side Note: I had the strato-back front seat. Bucket backs, bench bottom, folding arm rest.
