41 car San Antonio-Austin-Rio Grande Valley Camaro5 Road Trip to Avery Ranch
As featured on Homepage.
Un-be-lievable! That's what today was. First, on behalf of the combined memberships from the San Antonio, Austin, and Rio Grande Valley Camaro5 clubs, I want to extend sincere and heartfelt thanks to Darrell (SumittSS) for coming up with the idea and the location, and for planning and coordinating all the details of our FANTASTIC road trip today! Thanks also to James Avery Ranch for allowing us to take advantage of their beautiful property for the event! In all, we had 41 2010 Camaros attend, including cars from Austin and four cars from the RGV, who demonstrated true love for the Camaros and camaraderie by driving 4 hrs to join us before the hour-long trip from San Antonio. We also enjoyed the pleasure, once again, of Teresa's gorgeous purple Challenger SRT8 and Caleb's (Darrell's son) white Cobalt. We book-ended the trip with a long snake of cars out and back...a true site to behold! Camaros as far as the eye could see! Wow, wow, wow! We even had the opportunity to make a "special stop" on the way up (you'll need to ask Darrell's wife, Linda about that--LOL). Shortly after we arrived, we had a superb lunch, catered by Delicious Details (our thanks to them too for some great chow!). We took some awesome group pictures of the cars and drivers, and a lucky few managed to grab some great pics of their cars in front of the Avery barn and down along the creek! What a great way to spend a day with friends and family. Let's get those pics up to commemorate our best showing ever and a phenomenal Camaro5 event! Post on...!

First, as posted earlier, what a wonderful time my wife and had. As mentioned on another thread, the Camaro bridges all gaps, age location, background....
I'm the proud owner of my 2010 Camaro, and just as proud to know so many other wonderful owners. I had a blast,and I'll try to post a couple of short videos on youtube as well... I apologize for the language in one of them, but you'll understand when you see it....

I'm trying to find it.... can you help...???
Kyle and Gang from Austin, I enjoyed the ride down from Austin and the the return trip....in addition to the drive and time from San Antonio to Alegria. I apologize for getting lost  on the way to Paneras' but I'm still trying to figure out how I got picked leader... I had a great time all...

Great time, enjoyed meeting the Camaro 5 members from all points of central Texas (and not so close-- 4 hour drive? awesome!)...

Saw you guys today on Hwy 16 between Fredericksburg and Kerrville. I was in the blue Vette that passed by some of you outside of Kerrville. Great showing of cars, looked like a great time. Wish we could get the members of our club to do runs like that. We used to but lately it seems most have other interests.
Congrats on a beautiful group of cars. Oh by the way my wife wants a green one.

My camera was not as fast as our cars. We managed to catch 31. Notice Atti2de getting spanked by a mini van.

Wow! What an awesome afternoon!!!
First, Darrell....thank you VERY much for putting this entire event, the 1st Annual Camaro5 Trip to Algeria, together for all of us. How awesome was this!!! Justin, I owe you a big thanks for keeping the kiddos entertained while I got food for us. These guys can be a handful...Dylan much more than Dean. No matter how many times you tell Dylan, he loves to just run off. So, thanks (little brother...  )It was great getting to see everyone again as well as getting to meet a whole bunch of new faces. I was amazed at all the rides out there!!! I saw a lot of cars w/ mods I'd LOVE to do. Now...time for some pix!
