Clean the surface really good before applying. I used a rag with rubbing alcohol.

I bought the transformers ones, and they were just a peal and stick.

Not a problem.

They are worth it. I got some deep gouge on my passenger door sill somehow. No idea how. The sill plate would have helped that.

I got them from GM parts direct. Kind of wish I would have known about BeckyD@rodgerschevrolet before that. She hooked me up on some parts that were cheaper or real close to GMparts direct price.

I think they are $45 a piece, but I ordered my ambient lighting lamps too.

Wooooooo

Proud of them doggies aren't they!! lol I like my Chevrolet ones, but wouldn't mind something to mix it up. I reckon I'll wait for some more to pop up. Car is still new, there's bound to be something else come up.

Ambient lights under the weatherstrip is gonna look awesome.

Can't wait to see AAC's kit.

Thanks,
Ivan

they are $76 at chevypartsplus. I want these after i got scratches in the area that these would be applied at, must be from climbing ini dont think it was me bc i sit down and swing my legs in and if i hit anything its the black plastic just on the inside that holds the carpet in place.

I dont think i would want them after hearing is just adhesive that holds them on. i dont want to drill of course but wont that trap dust dirt, even if you prep the area good, and if you ever take them off good luck trying to fix the paint fade

Do you really think it is going to fade much on the inside of the door?

I suppose if you leave the car parked and the doors open a bit, in the sunlight it may fade over time.

I got another scratch in the door again today. I'm wondering now if maybe something was on the underside of the door (small rock), and closing the door does it.

I picked up a set from Late Model Restoration within a week of getting the car. Peel n' stick, black powder coated billet aluminum.

i just purchased them from gmpartsdirect. I think they were like 76. 80 or so after shipping. They are worth it they look great on the car. They come with a template so you can get them on even. Just take your time so you do a good job. Make sure it looks even before you stick them on!!!

I love the look of those chevrolet ones that came on my 1SS.

i keep kicking the door speaker though getting in and the dirt is hard to clean out of that mesh haha I'm gonna have to figure out some sort of speaker cover that's easier to clean. Or be more careful getting in.... but i'm usually too excited to get in the car to care if my foot touches something on the way in haha
