Driving school

So went to the post office today. I always park at back of lot where no one else does. The post office is in a drugstore located in a strip mall. On my way out i notice a driving school car with an instructor and a student practicing backing up into the spot next to my car.

I hurried up and got myself in a position to see how much distance was between my car and their car as I walked towards it. There was lots of space. As i approach my car their pulling out and I look at my car no dents, scratches or any damage thank god.

Am I wrong to be pissed off ?

man... oh man... a car is someone's private property... it might be illegal for them to practice parking around it.

You have every right to be pissed, i have heard of many stories when cars have been damaged and driving school car flees.
When I have any of our car out parallel parked, we always get them trying to practice, and every time i have caught them, except for one, they have been about an inch away from hitting my car.
When i went to driving school, I pointed out to the instructor that the car felt different, wobbly, alignment seemed off, and he told me that a student railed another car the other day. I asked him how often it happens and he said often. My driving school was a great one, they wouldnt drive away in the event a student hit someone, but i am sure there are many out there who would!
Once again every right to be pissed off

I am pretty sure it's private property as the mall is owned by a company. Didn't have time to say anything as they were leaving as I was getting there.

Considering where you parked (at the back) I would have gone up to the instructor, given him a piece of my mind. Then I would have told him that it's because of jerks like you, and these teaching methods, that we such morons behind the wheel of a car, in this world.

Why don't these instructors go and teach their students how to park next to a transport; I bet you if the student hits it they'll never make that mistake again
I was taught how to park, in an empty lot, and backing up into a lined spot, without objects beside me. This way I learn how to back up and properly use my mirrors.

This is no different when I park(my truck) in a lot, far away from everyone & the store, and when I come back, some idiot is right next to me. These morons can't put there vehicle in between two lines without an object beside them, because that's what they're taught

yea no kidding.... a lot of kegativity around here don't you think Frank..... kidding kidding...

Sigma, I would have knocked on the window, asked the instructor for a moment of his time outside of the car so I could give him a piece of my mind without his student hearing it. i agree this is terrible teaching methods, illegal on private property, and disrespectful to what was obviously someone's prized car. If they must do this, go do it next to a Honda Civic or a minivan or something.

My driving instructor asked me to pull into the Beer Store during one of my lessons. He even asked me if I wanted one. Needless to say that was my last lesson with them. I was already driving for a while (just lazy to take the test) and was mainly doing the lessons for the insurance discount.

About twice a week an instructor takes his students to practice parallel parking behind my Camaro because i park it on the street for a few hours after i get home from work. my grandmothers car parks further down the driveway.. every time i catch him doing it i stand in my window looking crazy until he gives up with the student and leaves. at least the students have enough respect to not even try to get close to my baby lol. ive never seen any one park behind it properly yet.
