To the man you who got me into muscle cars

Tomorrow will be the first year anniversary of my fathers loss to cancer. This is the man who flipped me the keys to my first muscle car a 1980 trans am after i graduated from high school. I later went on to buy a Z28 the full story of that can be read here http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43382 . After his passing i couldn't think of a better way to celebrate his death then a 2010 camaro. It was one of the best decisions i have ever made. The 700 km drive home was very emotional for me to say the least thinking about the great memories with my dad and my relationship to muscle cars. This video is dedicated in memory of him.

My dad worked 16 hours a day. sometimes 7 days a week in the auto plants for GM in Flint, Michigan where I was born. I'd try to stay up so I could see him, but more often than not, I'd fall asleep. I can remember waking up smelling Beechnut gum on his coat as he carried me to bed. My dad passed back in 2003...

It may seem silly, but I know he had a part in getting me my Camaro, because I REALLY wanted it, and even though I was upside down in my payments, everything just fell into place SO easily. I think he saw that Camaro on the lines and was proud to see GM create such a beautiful, wonderful car! I bet he looks down and grins as much as I do when he sees me in my ABM baby!

Thats a Great way to honor the memory of your father.

"Go Rest High On That Mountain." was played at my fathers funeral a few years back. Your father would be proud of your new Camaro.

I hear ya man, my father and I still share in our love of cars, I am 40 and he is a very healthy 75. My mom passed in 2003, but I am fortunate to still have a least one parent. We both have Saturn Sky's and I have the 2010 Camaro as well.

To dad's and cars!!
