Android
My iPhone just died on me. Kind of blessing as my contract with AT&T is up and I have not been happy with the call quality since I switched from Verizon.
Anyway I am curious if the Android will work with the car stereo system or if I will need to get an iPod for the convenience. Also curious how the Android compares to the iPhone in terms of applications. |

I have the Motorola Droid, everything works fantastic! Bluetooth music and bluetooth phone calls. Only thing you cant do is voice dial over bluetooth.
I personally use the USB with the phone, as I feel the music sounds "fuller", mount the SD card when its plugged in, and use the stereo or steering wheel controls to control the music. Plus it comes with a 16gb memory card, expandable to 32gb. I had the 2g iPhone (had many phone since then) but to compare I really do like the Android OS, it just fits me perfectly. Granted my phone is rooted (think linux). |

My Motorola Droid works fine as well.

If you're going back to Verizon then I highly recommend you take a look at the Palm Pre Plus. Fantastic device and my Pre works flawlessly with the car.

Go with the Droid! I just got a Camaro wallpaper mini-app that changes my wallpaper to sweet pics of Camaros through the years.. Some of these car pics I've never even seen before and wish I had a full size of them.

i cant wait till my contract ends with at&t, ive had them years with regular style phones, but after i got my iphone 3gs, i never knew how CRAPPY there network is, always heard about it, but i was like, seems good to me....Not. I have no 3g in my whole county, gotta go to the big city 30 miles away in the next county. It didnt bother me awhole alot until yesterday, my sister got a new LG chocolate touch, and she lives in the next town, right up the road, she has verizon and i looked at it, and it said 3g, I was pissed, lol. Verizon here i come!!!...whenever my contract is up. Just wanted to rant a bit. sorry.

This is good news... I wasn't sure if the android mobile OS would work with the camaro... Awesome. I am waiting for the new HTC Incredible to come out later this month from Verizon.

Did the same thing. Iphone died they wanted me to buy a new one so I jumped ship to Verizon and got the Motorola Droid. No problems with Music and BT - everything works great. Personally I would get the Droid and on 4/26 return it for the HTC Incredible coming out.

I really hope HTC has gotten their shit together. I had 2 Touch Pros and 2 Imagios crap out on me, all within 4 weeks. Then moved onto the Motorola Droid, and couldn't be happier with it. One month of beautiful calls without walking into the verzion store every other day so far. Droid FTW!!!
