Donation Car Wash in San Diego, please read. - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey everyone!

So a co worker of mine, Active Duty Navy / Coach for youth sports, has been doing some fundraisers for what i think is a good cause. Due to time constraints, more money must be raised very soon. I think we can help him out.

He coaches a youth soccer team, for AYSO Region 258 in Spring Valley.
His team has been picked to participate in a very prestigous event that only 25 teams nationwide have been invited to participate in, and it means everything to these kids, ages 11-14 IIRC. The Nationals Soccer Tournament is being held in West Palm Beach, Florida. As im sure you can tell that this would be an expensive trip for the whole team. My co worker has been working non stop, everyday to raise the money for his team, ranging from car washes, to candy bar sales etc.

This trip means everything to the kids, to some its a dream come true. And let me tell you.. these kids have worked their butts off for this opportunity! A fair amount of money has been raised, but theyre still a long way off.

So.. I figure this would be an excellent place to get some help. They did a car wash not too long ago, and it rained a good bit this past week and weekend. If your car looks anything like mine right now, you could use the wash! It will be done all by hand, by these very gifted young adults. Wash, rinse, dry, wheels, and glass. You could chip in a dollar, or 5, 10, 20.. whatever you want.

Bring your Camaros, or bring a different car, a bike, a boat.. whatever you want. Consider it a meet and greet / photoshoot while we're at it, to show how much we support our local community!

If anyone is interested, please post a reply so i can get accurate numbers. As this plays a role in how much wash and supplies they need to purchase.

I will post with more details to where and when, once i can get some numbers. I will, no doubt, be there and I hope some of you will help out as well. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to a favorable reply!

Its usually on Sundays, from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. They tried for Saturdays but the place they use is always taken on Saturdays.

I think the next one is on April 25th.. but i might be able to get them to swing this Sunday too.

They have a location reserved, its at a big gas station type thing in spring valley. I dont do any of the planning for it, Im just throwing it out there cause I want to help out. The last time they had it was the 4th of april.
