Adhesive that won't ruin my paint, gill strips
One of my gill strips I installed Sat is coming up a bit and I want to stick it back down, does anyone have a recommendation of some glue I can put behind it to restick it or do I just need to remove it and retape that back of it? I don't want to put anything that might ruin my paint.

Burnin out!

Same thing happened to me. I tried everything to glue it back down. After no sucess I got a hair dryer and took it off It came off really easy with minimal tape left on vehicle. Needed to scrape off old 3m and add a new strip. The trick is to bend the gillss slightly so they dont want to bend outward. Good luck.

the trick is to put them on with a heat gun and 15 lbs pressure so u get full wet out of the 3m tape, also when you clean the area before u put them on make sure you do not use a petroleum based cleaning product cause the tape will not adhere to a surface with residue from petroleum based cleaners. You can use 3M general purpose cleaner part number 08984 if a strong cleaner is needed.
hope this helps |
