Cars ready for it's first oil change, quick question

Aside from the oil, should I change out any other fluids? I used Darin's hard break in method so it's due for an oil change soon. Would it hurt to change or flush some other fluids out to? Or just the oil?

Do all. Engine, transmission and differential. I did. Do you have a complimentary service coupon from the dealership. It helps.

I think it is too soon for the other fluids. Unless you pound the shi! out of your car I don't think you need to change anything else other than the engine oil. Change the other fluids after a year, or before the winter comes.

My rule is engine at 1000 km and the other components at 3000. Then regular maintenance intervals.

fluid changes

Make sure your dealer doesn't rip you off for the differential change. I got two quotes for about $140. I told them it's just a quart of gear lube, some ls additive and it takes 10 minutes to do. The came back with a price of $28 for the gear oil which is still a rip off, $10 for the friction modifier, and $44 labor, but $82 is cheaper than $140.

Also, the same for the oil change. I read here that someone paid $140 for an oil change. Mine at the dealer was $70.52 for 8 quarts of mobil 1 and the filter (labor included).

Become an Amsoil preferred customer and get the 5w-30, trans and diff gear oil. No harm in doing it yourself.
