Drag racing with lowering springs?
I remember seeing a thread about the pros and cons about drag racing with lowering springs compared to stock but I can't seem to find it. Will a set of springs have a negative affect on the launch? I'd like to chance the stance of the car but not at the expense of the launch. Thanks for the help guys.

Those two comapnys make some really nice stuff and they have way to much to offer in their drag racing kits. I don't really need all that stuff. I have the L99 so its launches great as is. No wheel - hop or any other issues. I was just looking to swap some springs and get a cosmetic improvement. I'm just waiting for Jannetty to get back to me with some kind of info to see if it would hinder track performance. Thanks

Don't know if you are going to C5Fest this week, but I'll bet you can get a lot of feedback of what works and what doesn't after this event. Hundreds of 5th gen Camaros going down the 1/4 mile will be the most data logged in one place !!

I'll just listen to Ted. He has yet to give me bad info. He has gotten my car into the 10's with minimal mods so his word is the gospel to me. I'm just bored and he had the kit in stock and I was looking for something to do.
No C5 fest for me, I have a track rental this Friday weather permitting. |

Pedders makes 2 coils for the rear. One of them, the 220035 are specifically made for taller, larger wheels and tires for the drags.
The other then we make that will seriously help the drag racers are our rear camber eccentrics. We can change camber a hole lot more than OE. mike dms |
