Talking Finally Picked Up A Red Jewel Of An SS

Well after being a member here for about a year, I finally got a Camaro. I've used this great forum for plenty of research to find exactly what I wanted. After going to Hendrick Chevrolet in Cary NC, (The exact same dealership I bought my Tahoe Hybrid at) and being told that all of their Camaros are priced at "Fair Market Value" which equals anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000 over MSRP for a 2SS, I went to a dealership in VA where I got below MSRP pricing. I'm currently in VA for school and after doing an inventory search of the local dealerships, I finally found the exact car I was looking for.

Holiday Chevrolet and Cadillac in Williamsburg VA had about 8 Camaros to choose from, but they only had one that interested me. A beautiful Red Jewel 2SS/RS 6 Speed Manual with Silver Rally Stripes, Sunroof, and Polished Wheels. After talking to my salesman Phil Lorack, I found out that the Camaro I was drooling over was actually priced slightly below MSRP and I actually got it for an additional $750 less with the USAA discount.

After driving it home to NC, I washed my two Chevys up and took some pics.

Here you go. Enjoy!

Congrats. Beautiful color. I have a Yukon and I am just curious about your Hybrid Tahoe. Is the gas savings very noticeable?

Yes for the City. My wife averages anywhere between 19 - 22 MPG in the city. On the highway we get round 21 MPG. We had a V6 Honda Odyssey Van before the 'Hoe and we only averaged 15 - 17 MPG in the city. The Hybrid sounds like a golf cart while driving around a drive thru, because when going that slow its all electric motor.

Congrats on the new car. One question, why did they put that front license plate bracket on your car?

Because I bought it in VA and front plates are required in VA.
