Modify front SS caliper to fit 18s or less
I was wondering if any has ground down the weights on the front Brembo brakes on an SS so that an 18" wheel would fit. I tried to put one on today and the weight obstructs the clearance by about 1/4". Is there a purpose to these "weights" (I'm assuming they are weights, there's 4 "discs" that stick out of the brake pad area)? Is there a reason I shouldn't grind these down? I'm kind of disappointed these brembo brakes make it impossible to get smaller tires!
