Found my Camaro,is it a good deal?

I found a 2ss/rs with rally hood stripes. No sunroof. It has a little over 400 miles. It must be a later model car because it has the back-up monitor system. Out the door at $35000. Deal or no deal. I still have to pay taxes when I get back to my state. Any advice would be great. THX

Sounds pretty good. Might want to try and get them to give you a check for the taxes included in that price. NC only has a 3% on vehicles. So it might be possible. Not sure about your state though.

The car is in S.C.,I'm in Ga. Does anyone know what Ga sales tax is? How should I ask for that tax check?

Good deal. But I think better is very possible. Go in with your deal in hand ready to go and demand 34K. They must know your serious. Be prepared to walk. I think you will get it. What you got going for you - 2011, 400 miles. Lean on the miles. You're also willing to wait for 2011 and the HUD.
With 400 miles there is probably a paint chip or two somewhere on that front bumper. Point it out.

so are they trying to sell it as new, or "pre-owned"?

any camaro with more than 10 miles no matter if it was a dealer demo vehicle or not should be considered used and below MSRP... invoice on a brand new 2ss/rs manual is $34,500 and $35,500 for an automatic. if it has 400 miles, i wouldn't pay over $34k for a manual and $35k for the automatic. try and negotiate with them, explain your thoughts on it, try and get control of the negotiation, don't let them haggle you around, a better deal can always be made elsewhere. if they won't go below $35k, try and find a different one elsewhere.

Its a used car, so 35K w/o tax sounds a little high since that's your price target on a new one. As previously suggested, offer $34K as a bottom line and I bet they'll take it if you hold firm. If they decline, head for the door. You never get their best deal until they stop you in the parking lot...
