MRT exhaust

I am very interested in getting an exhaust for my car. I already ordered an injen CAI, however now I am looking at exhausts. After browsing the other threads, and looking at prices, I am most interested in getting the MRT 2.0 listed here.. http://store.mrt-direct.com/91a177.html

Obviously, this system does not come with a new set of headers, and I really want to get more performance out of my v6. I know the stock ones are kind of puny. Is there a particular set of headers that would work best with the MRT 2.0? And if I eventually do get a new set of headers wouldn't that change the sound as well?

Any guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

Well there are two routes to go with headers. Shorty's or Long tube, shorty's give slight performance boost (scrming and mrray13 saw around ~5rwhp and ~5tq), LT will give you more performance however a lot of places wont pass your emissions if you have them, you'd have to check if they're legal in your area. Yes they will change the tone of your exhaust, I'm not sure by how much though.. scrming seems to really like his JBA Shortys and MRT V2 set up.

I have MRT 2.0 and the JBA shorties and I absolutely love the sound!!!

Devildoc has MRT 2.0 and is going with long tubes and high-flow cats... Hopefully he can give us more information on the setup, including the sound...

As for performance, the Long Tubes/high flow cats will give you more but I believe will also have a much different sound...
