Do a search for "fuse pull".You'l find the explanations.
The computer has a "learning ability that constantly adjusts for your driving style and measures the fuel you use via a knock sensor. It adjusts LTFT & STFT Lon term/short term fuel trim. If you use regular instead of premium it will detect 'knock' under load and adjust the timimg and fuel to prevent it. This costs you probably a coule of horsepower. It was argued by a few people with engine analyzers that for some reason ome camaros would not relearn if tey were on premium. The fuse pull makes the ECM (computer ) forget and start from scratch. hope this helps. So to regain max HP
