Vince,

I can't recall the thread concerning this, but thought I'd offer some thoughts;

I ONLY will use a clean, microfiber towel when addressing nav., radio, gauges, etc., and I try not to use any cleaner. I will usually use a clean MF towel, once a week, to very lightly wipe across the surface, using NO pressure, to remove any dust, etc. from the surface.

If you keep "on top" of it, you should be fine. Alot of cleaners will leave streaks. Hence, my "dusting" weekly.

The cover you're looking for is made by Ghost Armor. Personally I'm getting the complete interior protection package but they offer individual pieces. http://www.ghost-armor.com/chevrolet.../prod_361.html

Yep. thats my routine to a T...
but i still notice its gotten some very fiiiiiiiiiiiine minor "scratches".
i guess the nature of the beast with plastic such as that.. but like some electronic devices / gadgets, i think there is a polish or "trick" to remove these lines before protecting with an overlay. ... Hmmm...

more research!
but THANKS, also!!!!!!!!!

I have read good things about this: http://meguiarsdirect.com/detail/MEG+G12310

I just ordered some Ghost Armor I will probably get some of the Meguiars to prep the area before I install the Ghost Armor.

For reference sake... The dealer "Detailed" my car for me while I was on vacation (and they were fixing a scratch due to transporting it) and the radio came back to me fogged over like you wouldn't believe. Nothing worked... I decided what the hell... lets try cleaner wax and buff it out with a microfiber and I'll be damned if it didn't work!!! Took the fog right off and looks factory new! I know this doesn't have anything to do with scratches but it may take out fine scratches as well.

my 2 pennies.

Yup this stuff is awesome, it will take out micro-scratches, and will even reduce larger scratches to be less noticeable.

This stuff is basically a wax that is formulated for plastic. It is in aerosole form so just spray it on your microfiber and apply.
