Kenne Bell Camaro Supercharger kits

Hey Camaro5 guys,

After looking at the new Kenne bell 2.8 kits that have been developed for the camaro L99/LS3 engine, It has me thinking that due to basically the same engine setup in my car (G8 GT) as the Camaro SS, that the kit should be able to bolt right up with no issues. I know this is straying away from the Camaro talk, but can any vendor or C5 members chime in and provide some yay or nay on this.

thanks

I am pretty sure the Camaro and G8 have two different belt lines. Will not be a direct bolt on, however I am sure you can make it work.

Not possible in any conceiveable way.

The pulley spacing is different, the blower placement is WAYYYYYYYY off, and there is about 15 other things that is different.

That being said, the G8 kit is in development (for an actual DIY kit). We can already build them in house. Thankfully, KB sped up our process by finishing the LS3 manifold, so it'll be much much quicker.

One of our biggest problem, is cost. The G8 market is TINY, and will not merit expensive mold processes like the Camaro. So everything we do, requires extensive cost consideration.

If you are heavily mechanically inclined, and can build one-off custom parts, then I can tell you the parts you need to get. But if you are looking for a bolt on application, then although it is much slower than we had hoped, it will be coming.

Sorry about not PM'ing you back. I had to drive 14 hours for a courstey pickup in Wyoming, so I was dead yesterday.

Hey Jeff no problem man. I am interested in a custom setup Kenne Bell, preferably a 2.8 LC or a 3.6 LC. I would greatly appreciate it if you could pm all the parts I would need to go forth with this custom project. Shoot, If I was close enough I would bring my car to you today lol.

Thanks!

Well, We just got confirmation that we are getting our G8 back in the shop in the ne4xt few days. So hold off a bit. It should go EXTREMELY fast now that the car will be back in the shop to wrap up the development.

How much rwhp does your car have? I've always loved the G8's. Great quarter mile time, btw.

Your car would be a monster with a K/B on it in addition to the mods that you have right now.
