Car & Driver and Motor trend give pretty good reasoning for the Camaro being priced the way it is. At first I was somewhat reluctant on pricing but now I see it differently.

That is a nice little part of the article good information and cheap when you look at it like this plus take in to account how much better this will handle than BOTH

Interesting how they talked about the 23 MPG was on the L99. I never considered how the two different packages might give the same mileage. I wonder how the LS3 is gonna get the same estimate.

Wow, very positive reviews from most media sources so far. That bodes well for sales.

Usually I get annoyed when only relative power is discussed, but in this case it even under-represents the Camaro's value. Not only do you get superior horsepower per dollar, you also get superior braking, superior handling, and superior efficiency per dollar. We don't know about quality yet, but with this trend, is there really a doubt?

Generally, automatic transmissions get worse mileage. I'm sure you knew that. But when they put a 6 speed auto in it, it gets better mileage. Then when you add fuel management, it gets even better. But because of the inherent efficiency of a manual, the odds are it'll get the same mileage or better because of the skip-shift function and more efficient use of engine power.

I would put money on it at least matching the autos mpg.

And yeah, C&D really put it into perspective. But I would be willing to bet that those ponies not only come at less cost, but are put to better use than either of the other cars they compared it to.

SKIP-SHIFT?????!!!! I thought they did away with that years ago on the Corvette!!!
