Does anyone have an image of SLP rear "SS" emblem ...

Does anyone have an image of what the SLP traditional "SS" badges look like ... namely the REAR one?

I know they have pictures on the website ... but here's my dilemna ...

They say (the rear) has a black, oval-shaped "landing pad" that affixes to the deck lid (to cover the holes) and the "SS" letters affix to it. The picture on the website is of a car that has a blacked-out rear panel. I'm just wondering what this emblem/panel is going to look like on a car that isn't black or doesn't have a blacked-out rear panel (my car is VR) .... wondering if it will look funny or blend in ...

Thanks in advance for any help ...

This thread may help. This page has pics on a non-black-out panel, but not sure if it is the SLP SS.

I don't believe that thread has any SLP emblems in it.

As for what it looks like, imagine a black refrigerator magnet that is straight on the top and bottom and curved on the ends. I've got one, but don't have any pics of it. It's a shame that GM decided to put two holes in the decklid, otherwise this piece wouldn't be needed.

I've got the front and rear SLP SS emblems with the rear pad if anyone wants them. PM me.

Personally I would have the holes filled in and painted and then apply the badges.

I shoot the picture of my SS badges. I will post it immediately after they are developed. The emblem signifies that it is effective and a mark of efficiency. It it nice and looks good for me.

I decided to go with a hybrid look. 69 "SS" on the front and bowtie on the back. I ordered SLP's grille insert, but I got an authentic 69 "SS" from Rickscamaro.com. Looks way more authentic and high quality than the SLP fridge magnet. It comes with pins on the back that I will have to cut off and sand down, then attach with emblem tape on to the insert.

Got the idea from fellow member Boomboomkid.

I know i am resurecting a dead thread, but i wish i would of known what i am about to share before i ordered my SLP kit.

my 2011 2SS DOES NOT HAVE THE TWO HOLES IN THE TRUNK after removing the bowtie!! So i could've only used the SS emblem on my factory paint with no holes if i chose to.

Secondly, If you are doing the black out decal, there is no reason to add that thick "refrigerator magnet' over top, the holes will already be covered.

I just did the black out decal and stuck the "SS" indiviualy on the black out without using the 'fridge magnet' it's a very clean look. I will post pics sometime this weekend.
