Now everyone knows the basics of upgrading (CAI, Exhaust, Plugs and Wires) But what else should/could be done on the V6? Would changing out the cams and throttle body be the next step? I have a goal for the V6. I want to make it put the same power to the wheels as the ss without forced introduction (or come close) if thats even possible.:bangdesk:

I really doubt you're going to get those numbers without going the FI route.

Hmm.. well, with whats on the market right now I highly doubt you'll get that kind of power. However, if you wanted to spend the money, and its not cheap.. port and polished head, P&P intake manifold, larger throttle body, bore the cylinders, larger pistons, get some valve work, not sure if theres anything out there for the fuel management system... full exhaust, long tube headers, cold air intake, nitrous, lose some of the weight in the car, smaller wheels with better tires, swap the rear end out with an SS rear end, 4.10 gears, lightened pullies, performance cams... stuff like that.

Bmwdon has a similar project going and hes looking to get some nice numbers without going the FI route....but hes still not expecting SS numbers.
Can't wait to see his results though.

Wow. I thought you wanted to modify your starter and was wondering what was wrong with it!

engine is 312 hp stock and Diablo could not even tune better, so did not release a tuner for v6. use 93 octane and be happy. Add CAI for a bit more...GM built a helluva a V6.

Well Im glad this turned into a thread bashing, I was trying to ask more along the line if it was possible and if so how would one go about it. I guess I'm going to install the throttle body spacer, my full exhaust, better plugs and bigger injectors and re-map the ECU when that comes out for starters. Thanks for the little help you gave.

DeezNuts....don't waste your money on a TB spacer, or injectors and the likes. Start off with exhaust and intake. Long Tube headers and tune will be your biggest gain, if you want to spend the money, For the intake side of things, my recommendations...go with Injen (which has proven results), or wait for AirRaid's new redesigned tube (which sounds promising so far, but likely wont perform much or any better than Injen).
You just can't make power cheap on this car, but the above should net you an extra 25 or 30 horses and would definitely be a noticeable improvement.
