Flying out to pick up car tomorrow, kinda long.
The day has finally come, I've been going back and forth between used 2008 vette or new camaro for some time now, finally pulled the pin and decided on camaro, 35 years old with wife and 6 year old daughter 2 seater didn't fit lifestyle to well.
Super excited never had a brand new car, I decided on a summit white 2ss/rs with LS3, sunroof, inferno orange stripes and interior trim with factory painted ground effects. I had chevy search there data base to find exactly what I wanted, couldn't wait on 2011's. Flying out of Kansas City to Indiana and driving it 600 miles home after I get the windows tinted, should be a exciting long day. Sticker was almost 41K I got it for 38,800 what do you think? Sorry so long, just excited, this is a great forumn with tons of info look forward to getting to know some of you. Thanks Jesse |

It sound like you got a pretty good price .
Since you'll be making the trip home during the breakin period, try to vary the RPMs and make frequent stops. On long stretches, you might switch between 4th, 5th and 6th to avoid long intervals at the same RPM. Oh, and enjoy the car... It sound like you got a pretty good price

That is the largest discount off of msrp I have heard of. Does that include any program discounts, or just that much off msrp?
(that will be a fun trip back too, congrats) |

That's just a discount from MSRP, I had them talked down to 38k with a $800.00 GM rabate or some sort of incentive, I balked, called back 2 days later and said I'll take it for 38k. They said they only had 3 rebates available and they used them in the last 2 day's since the price was quoted. So instead I had to swallow my pride and we finally settled on $38,800, still seemed like a fair price to me. It was a small dealership called Lawrenceburg chevy in Indiana, there customer service and communication leaves a little to be desired but they had what I wanted at a fair price so I took it.
