Widening back of stock SS rear wheels

Is it possible to widen the back section ( brake side ) of a stock SS rear wheel ( 20x9) ? I was thinking of widening it 1" to a 20x10 and running 305/35/20 PZero's. From underneath the car it appears there is plenty of clearance between the tire and inner fender well. Any suggestions ?? Who would be the best to have the stock wheel widened ?? TIA .....Ed M.

This has been done... and you will find. Use key word "widened wheel" or "widened rear wheel"...

Yes, went through all those threads before I posted. In most of those threads it seems the front wheel was widened to 10.75" and .89" thick hub centric spacers are used. This is ideal for 315 tires.
I do not want to run spacers and I believe a 10" rim width is sufficient ( experts chime in ) for a 305/35/20 PZero tire.

Yes you can do what you are wanting to do. I'd contact someone in your area that specializes in widening wheels and go for it ..

I'm guessing your 305 tire will fit on a 10" rim with no issues, but it looks like they are recommending 10.5" - 11.5" ..
