I've had my Camaro a year today!

It's hard to believe it was a year ago I picked up my Camaro off the car hauler. I still remember all the waiting and excitement of this car coming to town. It was the first one at my dealership and in the area. The car was 10 days late going off of the original delivery schedule. I had some help from people on this forum in locating it in the railways. Sean even got pics for me of the car in the railyard after it was unloaded Friday May 8 at 10:56 am. I received those pics on Saturday May 9 and my car got here May 11, 2009 on a Monday! Anyway I have just under 5000 miles on it and I still love this car. I have to force myself not to drive it everyday! I still miss the anticipation of the arrival of these special cars. For those of you who do not have your Camaros yet, it is totally worth the wait!

I don't have mine yet and know it will be a long wait. I'll try my best to enjoy the anticipation of it finally arriving. Thanks for your encouraging post.

Mine arrived at the dealership on 5/20/09. I tracked it on Spastic Squirell's site to the rail yard in East Brookfield MA. Then GM shut down his web site for a while. By then it was on the truck headed to my dealer. I still love this car and it is still a thrill to drive it.

Mine arrived at the dealer 5/18/09 -- I tracked mine on spasticsquirrel too!!!...everyday when I would check the site, I would find VINs before and after mine...:(

I started wondering where my Camaro was...then, 'magically' on Friday, 5/15/09, THERE WAS MY VIN!!!...

OMG, my heart just about stopped...I called my dealer/friend immediately and asked him if the cars were delivered to the dealer on the weekends...well, mine arrived on Monday and Tuesday my husband and I traveled from NY (where we live), to Virginia (where my friend lives and my Camaro was waiting), and the rest, as they say, 'is history'...

This has been the most fun year I've ever had owning and driving ANY CAR in my life!!!...

Just talking about my experience now puts me RIGHT BACK to that very day and all the excitement I felt then!!!...

It makes me so happy and excited remembering those days that I just have to do my 'world famous, only for special Camaro forum members, smiley dance'...

My car never showed on up Spastic Squirell's sire and on the built site we manually entered it when I received my VIN number. My car was very difficult to track but it was still exciting.

I could not agree more!! For me it makes delivery that much sweeter. I know I am in the minority here but I always think if things come too easy I tend to take them for granted......Just MHO......Awesome to hear your ride is still fun!!!

Happy B-Day Camaro. Only 5,000 miles.

I bought mine Sept. 12, 2009 and she has 14,500 miles. A daily driver for me. Can't afford 2 cars and don't have the space either. Mine will be 8 months old tomorrow.

Damn I need to drive mine more, as I said will have it a year in a couple more days, but only have 1682 miles.

WOW one year already yep I remember heading to the rail yard to go see it as well as the IOM SS two cars down from yours.

Needless to say this made me want one even more now that I have mine I cannot wait to order my convertible next year.

Thanks Sean the photos from the railyard made the couple extra days wait a little easier. At least I knew when to get to the dealer to wait from my car arrive on the hauler. Actually watched it drive into the lot.
