Doug Thorley shorty headers install!
I picked up my car this morning from my mechanic after having the Doug Thorley shorty headers installed on the car. Wow, what a good looking set of headers!
What a difference in the looks alone. Got a little more response on the throttle too. I had him take pics of the process and you can see how rusty and ugly the old exhaust headers were. The new headers look awesome and are polished and ceramic-coated, so they'll never rust. There's a pic of one of his mechanics with the devilish grin before putting on another rack of headers! Not alot of difference in sound yet, since I still have the stock cats on. But I'm either thinking hi-flow cats, or a cat-delete altogether. I'll keep the cats if I ever need to put them back on for any reason. I can get it inspected no problem. ![]() Question- if I do a cat-delete and do something like an X pipe, do I need to get the O2 eliminators? anyone have experience doing this? I want to get that powerful sound I'm looking for and let these headers breathe. After I get the cat work done, it's off to the dyno and to get an HP tune to where I hope to put 425 hp or more to the rear wheels.

Man I got lucky. I had called a couple weeks ago and they said they were on back order for 4-6 weeks, but that he had just gotten an extra order in! He said it was my lucky day and they were mine! I agreed I was pretty darn lucky. You'll like them for sure.

thanks! dynoed before as in my signature last week at 384 rwhp, 374 rwtq. No numbers yet, but I'm definitely going to get it dynoed and tuned once the cats are replaced with hiflows or deleted

Thanks alot, purchased them from Doug Thorley for $566 shipped. Got them installed for $300, so not too bad all for under $900.
