Tire / Rim questions

Tire Question:
What size tire do you recommend to make the wheel well gap as small as if it was dropped by eibach springs? Also at the same time making the tires wider.

Rim Question:
How much do you think it would cost to powder coat 4 RS rim's black and remount them / reallign?

Sorry if these are stupid questions. I just really have no idea : /

Wheel gap will be reduced when you lower the car. I don't recommend running taller tires than OEM, that may cause the ABS, traction control, stabilitrak, speedometer, transmission shifting (automatic) etc.. to go nuts. Here are the suggested tire sizes, based on diameter of wheel and wheel widths.

Powdercoating depends on the vendor. One of my friends owns a place near Chicago. www.thepowderpro.com

I'm having mine done right now so I should know the total by this weekend. I have the 20" wheels and my guy is charging me $85 per wheel. Not sure on the other stuff but I'll post a total once it's all done.

$363 out the door for the wheels. Now to get them on the car. So far so good.

These pics do it no justice. I have to admit I was very scared of getting them coated but after seeing them today I couldn't be happier. Well, until they are on the car.

Arsenal, I forgot to mention that your $150 per wheel is actually closer than the $85 I wrote. When you powdercoat these things you have bake them in the oven to cure and that causes the rubber to shrink on the TPMS and we couldn't find a way to remove them without damaging them. If you leave them in they will survive but since they shrink they don't hold air if the valve stem moves. I had to buy 4 of those at $40 each. No wonder GM paid back their bailout money way ahead of schedule
