Hello, has anyone had an issue with the radio display? I was driving to work this morning and noticed that the radio display was kinda green around the edges and black in the middle. The radio works fine, it will change from CD to radio, all the channels work but no display??

Is there a backlit adjusment?

Call the dealer immediately. If you start to mess around with the internals, you may void any warranty repairs.

Or just take a hammer and smash it a few times and see if that works.

I had an issue the first week I own my SS. I was sitting in the car in the middle of the night looking at the manual and checking out the dash. I had the car running, heat all the way up blowing as hard as could be. I was touching around the heat controls and all of a sudden the entire head unit started flashing on and off. Not just the radio but even the heater controls. It would flash as if there was a loose while, and for awhile just stay off but the radio was still on, just none of the controls worked. About 5 minutes later, everything was normal again. Never had an issue since.

I went back out to the car right now and it is working fine?? I hate when that crap happens because it will never happen when someone else is around.

Had same problem no display,happened 3 times brought it back,they installed new radio,so far so good....

Mine had a black line right across the middle. Took it to the dealer, they ordered a new one, had it replaced Monday.

I had something similar happen to my Camaro; Playing music off of my USB thumb drive when most of the display went blank, music was still heard. I tried reseating the USB drive, no help. But when I turned off the engine, opened the door then restarted it worked fine.
